Dumb Question

Hey Gang,

I have noticed a few bass players (like Scott Devine) play with a glove on their left hand. Can anyone tell me what this would be for?

Scott Devine wears a glove on his left hand because it helps with a medical issue. Etienne M'Bappé wears gloves to keep his strings bright. Obviously they can keep the hands warm which would be another reason to use them.
