Dunwich Amplification General Discussion

It would be fairly trivial to allow for on/off settings as desired. Beyond a global bypass you could have 2 stomps for each distortion circuit but leave the clean signal on at times. The only issue comes in is the enclosure size, if you need 3 stomps total then it would be bumped up to a 1590XX box. Else if you kept it in a 1590BB it could have global distortion on/off together.
If it were built for me, I'd leave the clean on all the time and want one footswitch for 250 and one for DS1, independent, but hey that's just one opinion in a sea of many I'm sure. (for instance, I hate when you have to pick one sound vs the other with one switch, and then use the 2nd switch for the on/off of the selected sound - dedicated stomps for each sound is way better)

Yea would just need a larger box to make it feasible for someone to access both dist stomps as need be.

My $0.02 cents is that neither the DS1 or DOD250 sound that great on their own (my personal opinion, YMMV.) I don't think Al uses one without the other, so for me, having individual on\offs wouldn't make as much sense.

In my original incarnation, there was only global on/off. In general that makes the most sense to me but I can see where people would want all sorts of variations.

My personal thought would be "DS1s and DOD250s are dirt cheap. If you want it by its self, just buy one." The ability to blend the two in the right way and not have two amps is where my money wants to leave my pocket.
Again, personal preference.

You know where I am, lol shameless ploy.

I don't really have the best bass test rig.

I picked up a free Tom Araye Sig ESP bass somewhere along the way and I have this old Kramer reverse headstock bass. Neither of them being a great bass to demo stuff on but i never bothered to want to spend money.

I have a TA-600; one of the older ones with the pentagram inlays. It is actually a pretty cool bass. 35" scale is great for down tuning. Has a very modern and active tone.

Okay done with the PCB

My model fett into my da120 is glorious
It would seem like the Model FeT and the Da120 are similar in that they are trying to recreate the tone stacks of two famous amps. Since you have both, how would you describe them in a comparison? I just learned about the Model FeT today, but it seems like the highs are a little crispier while the DA120 is darker with more rumble in the drive. Would you say that is accurate?
