Dust Cap Repair

I... had (unless this is an easy fix) a Behringer P.O.S 1x15 with the dust cap pushed in. I've read that a melted pin could've fixed this, but I didn't know this at the time so I tried to go through the underside with a pencil and pop it out. Now it's completely off and I've been searching for a new rig and crying on the inside. Would speaker glue work from a hardware store? I tried playing on it and, nothing! should I just throw it off a cliff? somebody <freakin emotocons>

The speaker should still work even though the dust cap is off.

I suspect perhaps you damaged the voice coil when you poked from the back with a pencil. If that's the case, you need to replace the speaker. Being a Behringer, its not worth reconing and a replacement will be cheap.

I have one more inquiry, if you would be so kind. I'm thinking it's about that time that I get my dream rig and lose this pile. I have a a bit of the ol' dyslexia when it comes to impedence, ohms, and such. Just riddle me this: would the new gk- fusion 550 be a perfect match for the svt 410 hlf?

I would be a good match. That's a 4 ohm cab. There is no perfect match, or course, and everyone had a different sound they call perfect. I do like the hlf cab, although it's super heavy.
