Double Bass Dynamic ergostool

Is a sit stand stool like this would be a good alternative for double bass playing?: ErgoStool - All Black
It adjustable up to 35 inch.

MMmm...Quite unorthodox.
I'd need to try it. This stool tips easily, which may be advantageous for bass playing, but I've never read or heard of anyone using a stool with built-in instability.
From 25 to 35 inches is great. A low stool like I use will be about 25-29 inches, then you're into more orthodox orchestral stool heights. Why not try it for the 30d period and get impressions from a few friends. You can then keep or return.

Good point.

I use something like this at home when I practice. I started using it after my neck surgery and it was/is great for building up core and using the back and shoulder muscles to bow while keeping the arm weight (and wrist) loose (I play German bow). I also sit on a low stool, @ 24-26" and use a yoga block under my left foot. It's been very helpful for me. In rehearsals I use a normal 24-26 in. stool, however. I don't know how comfortable I would feel if the stool was much higher.
