As a heavy user of modeller and preamps, I'm interested in a FRFR solution that sounds similar to FOH. It'd likely give me more flexibility with IR than a powered bass-voiced cab.
I once gigged with a BOSS keyboard amp for FRFR, and for some reason the speakers (off-axis?) gave a load of colouration. Probably because keyboard amps are designed to roll off low bass?
I'm considering an E-drum amp, since my first practice amp was a Roland PM-10. I remember it being warm and round and relatively full-range (drums can go even lower than a bass guitar). Maybe a bigger drum amp will work better than a keyboard amp?
