Double Bass EA micro 300 & Eden WTX260. Which is louder?

on paper, the Micro 300 should be louder, 300 watts vs. 260 watts. the human ear shouldn't be able to detect any difference but I think the EA would have less distortion.
have you checked out the Genz-Benz Shuttle 3.0? it's less money than the EA (and yes, only one input). the Bass Place over in Tempe has both the EA and Genz. David, the manager told me that since the Shuttle 3.0 came out, hardly anyone buys the Micro 300.
I a/b'ed my Shuttle 3.0 with a bud's WTX-260 and a Epifani UL112 and we both agreed the Shuttle sounded real good, maybe not louder at the comparison volume which wasn't pushing the limit of either amp. the parametric mid on the Shuttle is handier for taming feedback with a urb. when pushed to the limit, I think the Eden would sound "softer" because it has protective limiting.

I was considering the shuttle 6.0. I can get a new one for $500. I do like the 2 channel concept of the Micro 300 though. I have an EA Wizzy 12 M-line, which I thought I might swap for a Wizzy 10.
About the 2 channels of the micro 300, are folks out there using them for blending mic and pickup signals for DB, or is it mostly for plugging in 2 instruments? It seems like that's the intention. Unless I'm mistaken, you'd need some kind of a preamp for the mic, right? No phantom power?
In general, loudness is a function of gain and headroom is a function of power. If two amps have the same potential power, say 300 watts, the amp with more gain will seem louder. However, since the two amps have the same amount of power, headroom will be the same.
The perceived loudness of an amp can can also depend on how it's voiced. An amp that is voiced with aggressive mids will sound louder than an amp with about the same amount of power that is not voiced (ie "flat").
PS a few watts difference between amps will have minimal effect on loudness and headroom.

What about the Shuttle then? Is the 6.0 generally better liked than the Eden wtx260? Can my Wizzy handle the Shuttle? I'm interested in getting rid of the Wizzy 12 for a 10, I don't want to loose head room or volume, but wouldn't mind the lighter weight and a tighter sound. Any suggestion and/or opinions appreciated.
