I've searched through many of the threads here concerning these heads and couldn't really find the answers that I was looking for so....I recently purchased a Micro 300 on Ebay the serial is 10169. I am wondering if it is from the old or new batch of Micro's. The reasons that I am wondering are 1) if I turn the tweeter on my cab on at all I can hear a high pitch noise (which was a complaint of the early models) and 2) I seem to be having a little difficulty setting the gain trim pot. At about half way up even with the gain trim set full the level light only lights up "brightly" when I'm slapping and popping. (btw my bass is 18 volt active with new batteries). I've talked to a couple of nice folks here and was wondering if there is anyone else out there that could help me out?
