Ear Training

It's probably been asked before, but YES I dare ask it again....

Can anyone recommend any training videos or books that they have actually used and which has helped them improve their ear? I'm thinking here primarily of being able to hear something and figure out how to play it on bass. I also realize that knowing the instrument helps a ton on that, but for the moment I'm talking about the listening part.

I did ear training in music school over 30 years ago. I don't know what is done today but I can't see learing it via a DvD or a video. Maybe getting a piano/music theory tutor would be the right way to go. This way you can get coached and trained in person by a teacher / instructor.....Good luck .
