Earthquaker devices phaser

I've always run my phasers after dirt.

The Grand Orbiter works well with distortions, overdrives and fuzzes because it has a very prominent pulse to it's sound.

In that way I liked it better than most phasers but clean I didn't care for it a ton. YMMV.
Something specific you didn't like about the clean tone or was it just not hitting the spot for you? I run a slightly gritty signal often and then sometimes kick on fuzz so I would say it will be used with dirt more often than it won't. My only gripe is that when I looked at a demo Juan did I felt like the pedal was not affecting enough of the signal. The only way I can describe what I mean is it sounds like the pedal has a blend knob and it's at 50%. It sounds like you hear what he's playing with a pulse BEHIND it opposed to the whole signal/note being swept.
