Agree 100%, but the unsuspecting parent or novice doesn't know and in some cases the salesperson won't mention it as it might kill the sale. Unfortunate circumstance.

I had one of those. It's a great little amp but I don't think it's suitable for a rock gig. I used it at church, and some small gigs, but for a bigger venue, with loud bandmates, I wouldn't recommend.

Depends on the acoustics of the room , I used the 1x12 and the 1x15 models for a year or so and they worked okay .

200 Watts MINIMUM for rock music, IMHO. Anything less and you'll likely be distorting. If all you need is a distorted tone, then fine, but if you acutally want GOOD tone, 200 W MINIMUM.
