Double Bass Easy on/off for Revolution Solo pu?

Are there any RSII users out there who have come up with a solution for taking the pickup on and off easily? I am not willing to have the pickup permanently installed, but would like not to have to remove the g string to get it on and off...

I have considered using one of those plastic zip-tie things to hook it to the tailpiece Underwood Style, but I'm not sure if I can get one in between the jack and the plastic sleeve, which is much thinner than the one on an underwood.

If anyone from Upton is listening, is it possible to make the lead from the piezo to the output jack attach with a removable mini jack? I don't mind having the output jack attached to the tailpiece permanently, but don't want anything wedged into the bridge wing unless I specifically need it there.

Anyone else come up with a fix for this?

The older versions of the RS were terminated with a phono plug that plugged into the barrel in the tailpiece. I actually preferred that design. In your case, I would suggest using a re-usable type of wire tie, such as pictured Invalid Link Removed.
Loop the tie through the holes in the tailpiece under the G and D strings and around the barrel of the connector on the RS II. Pull the tie tight to snug the barrel up against the tailpiece. I suggest placing a small piece of foam weatherstripping between the barrel and the tailpiece in order to prevent rattles.

Hey Dan, I just zip tie it to the E string hole. For right handed players the jack is easier to get to, plus you can install/uninstall without string removal.

I duct taped a velcro cable tie to the barrel of mine. I use the Realist and keep the RSII as my backup. If I need to slap it on I just velcro it through the E and G string holes to the back of the tailpiece.
