Easy songs to sing while playing?

Hello!
So, I recently joined a band, and I'm supposed to play bass and sing, since I do both. However, I never have done them both before at the same time, so I'm trying hard to get my singing-while-playing to an acceptable level. One thing I'm trying to find are easy songs to play while singing.
So far, I've played "For Whom the Bell Tolls" and "Electric Funeral" like this, and I found them quite easy. My teacher also recommended I try out "Seven Nations Army", and I've been doing that lately.
However, I would really appreciate if you guys can recommend any songs that are easy to play while singing. Genre doesn't really matter: I'll play anything to improve my skills.
Thanks!!
P.S: If it's any help, I've sung "For Whom the Bell Tolls" an octave lower than the original because it's difficult for me to sing that high while playing, but I can manage it with a lower pitch.

Generally, anything where the bass part is simple enough that you can play it without thinking much, or where the cadence of the bass line and vocals coincide enough that they aren't throwing each other off. A lot will depend on your vocal range too, of course. Some that I've had luck with are:

Love Me Two Times/The Doors
Take Me to the River/Talking Heads
Good/Better than Ezra
Sinister Kid/Black Keys (Gold on the Ceiling is better known and also pretty easy if your range is high enough).
Pump it Up/Elvis Costello

I can't explain it, but there are some songs that I can sing and play well that are fairly busy and other songs that are more simple that give me fits.
Songs I can sing and play:
White Room, Tom Sawyer, Still Got the Blues, Right Down the Line, Fire, Stranglehold, Stray Cat Strut.......
It does take a lot of practice, but over the past ten years my singing and playing has become much more natural. You need to learn the parts where you don't have to think about either one.

i dunno, i tried to sing that song while playing bass after quite mastered this song:

i have to admit that the lick is pretty tricky to sing with, but i found that good old fashioned lover boy is easier to play than most songs i tried to sing with
