Hey Guys, I have a 60's EB-2 Bass in the shop for a refin I'm going to be refinishing in the sunburst. Does any one know what Gibson used for there "yellow" burst color. My thought was to use a blend similar to T.V. Yellow?

I thought all 60's Gibbies Basses were DARK RED.
Nicest looking gibson sunbursts of old that I remember where bassically without yellow in the mix. Was more the black, dark red, orange, blending type, I have seen new yellowy gibson sunbursts but dont much like them myself. In some cases a yellow cast can occur from ageing over time and from lots of sun exposure. As result of nitro finish. Some youve seem may have been more orange to red rather then yellow to red when new.
