Alright, since this is a test bass to learn to do polishing and other little fun stuff, I have decided to go with Tung oil on the neck and Danish oil (Golden oak) on the body.

I also found out that the nut is really a crappy little piece of plastic. I may not use this one part at all and get a new nut from GC or my luthier. I don't see myself even carving the neck for that cheapo nut.
What kind of material would you suggest, if I were to also try making my own nut?
Looking good bro! I'm really excited to see this one come together.
Will the bridge cover that eye? Is the thing to the right a pre-drilled ground wire hole? Or part of the eye?
Sounds great mate, I'm enjoying your progressionHope your having fun with it!
Have you decided that your going to do with the bridge yet?
Looks great! i've had my eye on buying a kit aswell, but haven't found one yet.
imho I think the pickguard is way too bright, if it were a little darker (or removed) It'd look way better.
The rest looks plain fantastic, love how the wood went from bright to nice and dark. What did you use there?
Thats pretty BA! Looks really nice. You know, the head stock looks identical to an SX. Maybe its made in the same factory, and you just get to put it together yourself... Hmm...
Can someone please provide an ebay link to this product?
