Ebay Preamp system should I buy it or not?

I would rather stay passive than to use an $8.63 preamp.
If I were looking for pre with a $200 budget I wouldnt be looking at a $9 part being sold by a company that also sell beard and mustache trimmers.

This and this.

The main reason I would avoid it entirely (besides the fact that I like passive) is that if there is a problem once it's all put together, then you have to troubleshoot it. And for me, it just wouldn't be worth the hassle.

When I bought it the only problem with it was the nine voir dieding when it wasn't even hotkey up to my amp. It most of the time takes up to 5 days before it dies. Then made the wrong decision of letting my brother try to fix it.
