I've recently installed a set of Ernie Ball Slinky Flatwounds on my Jazz bass. I loved the tone playing by myself/along with Spotify, but I couldn't hear myself during rehearsal with the band today, no matter how I dialed the amplifier. I didn't have this problem before when it was strung with DR Sunbeams. Anyone having similar issues? Suggestions for a fix?

flats dont have the harmonic content of rounds, you'll need to rethink how you eq, and might need a volume boost....some mild overdrive can help also
