EBMM USA Sub question

I recently saw a USA sub that is passive. I know this is a loaded question that is subject to bashing, is there a lot of difference between the sound of a passive and active eq on the SUB? I know there is, but how much.
I have a Sterling Ray4 with 2 band EQ, sorta kinda the same as the USA sub in a way. I don’t have the ability to play the USA. IF I could A/B it I could easily tell the difference.
Thoughts ?
Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the answer. I also noticed it does not have the factory p/u. Deal breaker?
Depends. Which pickup is it and is do you know if you will like it? Is thebans listed at a fair price? Perhaps you can talk them down a bit if you might have to obtain a pickup of your choice. That might not be a bad thing. Or it could be.

Won't hurt to ask if seller still has original .

Thanks for the info, it has bass lines pickup and aftermarket pickguard. Pickguard not an issue with me, but it’s not original.

Basslines is a Seymour Duncan brand name. It should sound alright.
Thanks for advice. I don’t need another bass, wife ok’d me getting one within reason. I have been watching a LTD bass also. I have had 3 LTD’s. 1 I still have, 2 I traded in. I liked the double humbucker models, B205 and D4. the 1 I did not like was the p/j model. Something 204??? Also I am not crazy about neck-thru basses.

textured Black bass & silver/black moddled? pickguard, not the same pickguard as others I see on websites for sale. Its legit, Since it does not have factory PU and maybe not the pickguard, I am basically paying for a name comparing it to my Sterling Ray4?
I wouldn't compare it to a Sterling. Mine is one of my best playing basses, comparable to my new Bongo. Pretty heavy though.

I have one of those (a passive SUB). Another bass player (friend) described it as “precision bass sound”.

I did use to have a classic stingray (or stingray classic ?) at the same time, and decided to give away the classic (to that same friend , actually ) and keep the SUB.

The replacement pickguard is definitely an upgrade.

I swapped my pickguard too. I went with matte black which I understand was offered as an option.
