So here is a little background. I've had this head for awhile as a backup to my GK 1001RB-II. Due to downsizing, I needed to sell one. After a couple of months trying to sell the EBS with no luck, I put my GK for sale. Needless to say, it sold in 2 days for allot more $$$ :(

Now for the EBS. I really like the sound of this amp and it suits the smooth jazz and fusion I am currently playing. The thing is that this thing is so adjustable (almost too much), I can't decide what settings I like best. It is pushing a 210 cab with Deltalite neos and a high frequency driver. I use a 6er with Duncan soapbars and Duncan 3 band pre with slap switch. I'm currently running ProSteels. So for the EBS HD350 owners out there, what are you favorite settings? Just want to try a few out and see if any suit my taste or maybe gives me a good starting point. Thanks in advance

I believe I saw a youtube video of marcus miller showing his eq which was basically the character switch ON with a small boost at 250. I love to slap on that amp so my settings are pretty much like that. Bass at noon, mid freq around 250 boost at 2 oclock treble and bright at 2 oclock, drive at 9 oclock, character switch ON.

You could also ask this question in the EBS amp club.

Thanks for your input. I'll give those settings a try. I know the bass I'm using may make a difference, but it gives a good starting point. Funny, I did a search here for an EBS club, but I couldn't find one. I guess I'll look again. Thanks again.

Saw the link to here from your EBS club post. Appropriate EQ settings are very strongly influenced by the amp/cab pairing. Your home-brew EBS "combo" is going to have its own character and it's own EQ sweet spots. I run my HD350 into one or two EBS Neo 212s, and in a small room it sounds great with "Character" on and the EQ bypassed. In big rooms, I'll tweak to cope with resonances. I usually have the Drive and Compression somewhere between 10 and 11 o'clock, and the Bright always at 0.

Thanks for your input and the EBS club number. One issue I am looking at on this cab is the crossover. It is the stock Carvin crossover and I'm not sure how it suits the Deltalites and this amp. It wasn't an issue with my 1001RB-II since I bypassed it and ran the cab biamped. Looking at swapping in an Eminence crossover that matches up better with the d-lites. That may have some effect on the sound of the amp along with the settings. One thing I haven't figured out is the input gain. EBS says to set it where the clip light starts to flicker when hitting the strings at the hardest you play at. For some reason the clip light doesn't start to flicker until it is cranked to almost 5 o'clock. At that setting it sounds farty. I back it off to about 1-2 o'clock and it seems fine, but never any clip light. I find it odd since my 6er is active with a pretty hot output. Have you seen this before?

That is odd. For my actives I'm generally good with the Gain around 10 o'clock, maybe 2 o'clock for a passive. Something is eating your signal. If it was me, I'd clean the input jack with DeOxit to see if that helps. That's assuming that you have verified that it's not the cable or the bass (Low batteries? Dirty jack?).

When I got the amp, it wasn't working properly because of dirty jacks. So they have all been cleaned. I was going to replace the battery to see if that was the issue. It's less than a month old, but you never know. I had not thought of the jack on my bass being the problem, but I'll give it a squirt of Deoxit too. Thanks for the help.
