Some time ago I took a MicroBass EBS II,a very versatile pedal, basically a pre dual-channel, with effects send and DI of excellent quality but that I only use as a distortion pedal, exploiting the possibility of having the two channels in series.
Now, however, this pedal has a switch to change channels or, through a special button, to add the channel, but it has a single output volume; that mean that the transition from A to A+B in live implies a jump in volume exaggerated, recovered a bit with the eq, but constrain the use of it thereof. I therefore proposed to engineer Abate of "Coolsoundoab" the following change: the mute switch, which I do not need, replaces the manual selector A/B - A/A+B, the mix pot of effects send is replaced by a trim in place of the LED mute that no longer exists, the pot becomes the volume of channel A and the volume becomes only for channel B. So I have independent volumes and freedom of use eq and I can take advantage of push by foot even the change from A+B to A/B. Excellent! Thanks to Alessandro Abate, Coolsound lab!
