EBS Multidrive

Hey JMJ,

Just a quick question re the Multidrive.
I recall you saying that you've found this to be one of your favourite overdrive pedals as it 'does a thing'.

* I'm just wondering what sort of applications you would find this favourable over let's say a VT, SFT or Rusty Box ?
What sort of thing do you admire about it ?

* Also i'm finding that with my Passive P the active switch is more useful being on active mode as there's more of a natural overdrive as opposed to distortion, do you agree and use it the same way ?

It's really good, and linear, kind of like a vaguely solid-state sound. Tight, focused. Sometimes it's just the right thing.

I use the Rusty Box and VT Bass the most of all, though. Followed by a ValveDrive, Multidrive, MicroTubes B3K, and SFT.

I'm not sure what you mean by active switch...

The active/passive switch is the switch on the side of all EBS pedals.
On the multicomp it cuts the compression ratio. In the case of the multidrive it adds less agrresion to the drive applied to the signal (in active mode), which i prefer when using my Am standard 2010 passive P. It's very compressed when that switch is out.

Do you know what switch i mean now ?
