EBS or MARKBASS??

Hey man , if your happy with the current rig why bother EBS ?
Ive played alot with boths brand . EBS is not worth the extra cash , Markbass quality is a lot better , its a lot more transparent sounding , its lighter , its louder.
EBS is good stuff , but you have a very good rig there my friend.

I went from EBS to MarkBass, and are happy with that. EBS is not bad, I really like the cabs, but the amps(Fafner and TD650) are overpriced IMO.
I prefer the Mark Bass rig because it is better for me, I can hear myself better

I tried out the little combo at GC and was blown away that I
bought it the same day and have been giging with it ever
since.
My current set up is Epifani NYC 112's x 2, and a Glockenklang
sould top. I am going to sell this stuff buy the markbass SD800
and a pair of the Traveler 121H single 12's x 2.:cool: :cool: :cool:

These were the clearest lightest and most power amp that I have ever played thru and the price point is super affordable.

I haven't had the opportunity to try out Markbass. I will defend EBS a little. I have a HD350 it is a great amp. I like the tone better than the last few setups I've had (GK800RB, Ashdown pre +QSC power). I also have a GK 1001RBII, which is a great amp. However, that EBS is a little warmer and fatter IMO. I definitely feel like it fills up the sound a little better with the band.

The 350 is a great amp, IMO the best EBS head. But I feel that the MarkBass Little MarkII sounds more clear, natural and punchy. And thats why MB works better for me.
No need to defend EBS, it`s just a matter of taste

I'm sure they both make great stuff, but I have heard of multiple Fafner head owners who have had technical difficulties with their amps, which sort of turns me off to EBS. I will hopefully become a Markbass owner soon as I tried the LMKII at GC a month or two ago and fell in love with the tone. It's loud, punchy, CLEAR, versatile, and more portable than any other amp I've ever encountered.

I had the EBS 350 and liked it, but I had technical issues with it as well as with their Envelope filter pedal. (Bass IQ?) Reliability is at the top of my list after tone. I bought the Markbass and I'm happy with the reliability and the tone. Both are great products but I just feel safer with the Markbass and their track record with quality issues.
