Double Bass EDB-2 has arrived!

Today the Headway EDB-2 has arrived! Tomorrow I'll try it my old GK 200MB, direct in the amp section.
But I want to improve my gear after 20 years...Now I have Underwood>EDB-2>GK MB200.
I want to try Underwood>EDB-2> QSC K8. And maybe mix a Troll Mic too. (ah, I play gut strings).
What do you think about the mic and the QSC? K8 or K10? I think K8 is lightweight and goddo for small venues. In larger venues I find a PA and I can send the signal from EDB-2 to the house monitor (or I can bring the K8 with me as a personal monitor) and to te front house too.
What do you think? Can I start to spare money to buy the QSC?

Tito,
I used to own a GK200MB, and I loved that amp, so in combination with the EDB-2 and Underwood, it should sound great. You'll need to experiment, with running the EDB-2 in to the effects return of the 200MB to see what that sounds like, vs. running the EDB-2 in to the
front end of the GK200MB. As I remember, I once tried to use my Walter Woods MI-100-8 as a pre amp, and the GK200MB as the power amp and speaker, I didn't like the sound it produced, compared to the Walter Woods, into another cabinet. I use the QSC K8
constantly for smaller gigs, and as a monitor, however the K10 has better low frequency response, so it's probably worth the few extra pounds, and expense, to get the K10, vs the K8, unless you're always in the position to have a monitor with a separate send
exclusively for your bass. The Troll would be a nice addition down the road, when you get the hang of your new signal chain.

Thanks Ric for your wise advice. Do you use the QSC on a pole mount at ear level or on the floor?
