Eden Quality?

Years past I have owned Eden cab's and loved them, they fit the sound I wanted. I'm looking at buying a new 210 cab and I was interested in the newer xst. But...... I'm concerned about the quality of eden after the buyout, I've heard/read things about the quality going down. Are they still made in the US? Any comments would be helpful.

What cabs would be a match for the Eden xst cab sound wise? I'm also looking at Aguilar, Epifani, Accugroove. I have also read great and mixed reviews about Avatar.

I live about 100 miles from what anyone would consider a real music store, so I need to do my homework so I know what cabs are worth the drive to try.

I'm no expert, and haven't played through everything (obviously, not many of us have)...but I have had the op over the years to play thru some diff rigs on house stages. IMO, Hartke's do a pretty good job. I just bought a Hydrive 210C (combo) that I'm happy with so far, but I haven't played out with it yet either. Downside for me - after I unpacked it..."made in China"....grrrrrrr

My regular rig is a 15 year-old Eden wt-300 head w/ 410xlt cab - absolutely trouble free. No ideas on the post-buyout Eden stuff.

Currently, Eden cabs are U.S.-made, but the crossovers are made in China. The amps are also made in China.

I have an old WT-500 made to 600 specs, I use it with a 4x10 eden cab.

True workhorses, never broke down. But nothing is full proof.

I've had an Eden WT800 version B (bought used) and an Eden D410XLT 30th anniversary for 4 years now, never had any problems.

Edit: My head is made in the US though.

I've got a foreign-made WT800C and a 410 and 210 cab and never had any issues with any of them. LOVE them, although I do miss having an 810 from time to time. The head can just do anything, plain and simple. And the times I miss my 810, I realize my 410 is honestly capable of giving me almost the same sound and feel in a much more transportable configuration.

I say go for it. If it doesn't pan out, then trade it and get something else.

Buy used as Eden is no longer the "flavor of the week" and some of the older proven gear is selling for very good prices. The new stuff may still be built as well but the value isn't there anymore as new Eden gear is very expensive and there are so many other high end brands making gear that's lighter and even less expensive, while providing dramatically better customer service should there be any issues.
