Eden WTX-500 or Little Mark 3... which do you recommend

Hey guys,

I'm trying to decide which head to get. Currently I have a GK RB-1001 but it's too big and more power then I'll ever need (I mostly play at church... max 350 people at a time... unless it's a concert then it can go up to 700 people). Anyhow, I wanted you're opinion on which head to get between the David Eden WTX-500 or the MarkBass Little Mark 3.

I'll be pushing them through an Eden 210 XLT and a 115XLT.

Any of you have either of those amps or experience with them and could tell me about them?

PS: I'll be ordering them, so I have not tried them. I've heard the WTX-260 before... very warm tone, which I liked a lot. Please help :-)

I have had both of the little brothers to the LMIII and the WTX500. Which of course are the LMII and the WTX260.

I'd go Eden because in addition the argument that it may be correctly voiced for your cabinets my personal opinion was the WTX260 (I am assuming the same front end as the WTX500) is my favorite sounding Eden. I had a WT-550 prior to the 260 and I just was able to get the tone I wanted right out the gate with the WTX-260. Its fate only came because of the lack of power which has been resolved in the WTX-500. If I were to by another micro head the WTX-500 is where I'd start my hunt.

The Markbass is nice by the way and I had an LMII but I'd still choose the Eden given the increased power it now has.

I'd go for the LMIII. Just sounds plain fantastic. I'd wager it also has more volume output as well. Probably get a better deal on the Little Mark as well, since there are a few for sale on TB. The wtx260 (the wtx500's little brother) got some mediocre reviews because of the way it sound when the limiter was reached... ie quite bad.

Then there's the customer service record of Eden which has not been good over the last few years.... although some say its improving.

I can see that to some point. But on that side I see where I start to prefer the Eden. I want a little more hi-fi sound than the "ampeg" sound. Not that it isn't a great sound especially since I play a pbass and that combo is killer. And I have found with the eq on the Eden I can warm it up when needed. I can see it being something that the cab is going to help with too. We all use different cabinets and therefore we will all have different sounds. Not to mention personal opinion.
