So what is this part of the profile called, and how does one edit it?

Is there a profile "how-to" somewhere?

That is called the Custom Title and is a perq of becoming a Supporting Member by upgrading your membership with a voluntary contribution. There's a few other such goodies for paying members, but I don't recall what all they are. There is an explanation of what the membership upgrades get you on the TB home page.

Thanks! I had a supporting membership for a bit, when I had some stuff to sell. I kinda assumed it was a membership thing, though I have noticed a few with a custom title but no membership upgrade (former supporters I guess)

It's more for a reference point, like when I say "I like your custom title, G-Dog!"
