Effect Loop pedal and Active Pickups

I am interested in building Sean M B Blender circuit for my effects.

But, recently I have read that you don't need a buffer circuit with Active Pickups. I am using EMG Pickups and Electronics in my bass

Can this circuit be modified for my needs

Any insight would be appreciated.

You could swap the 1M resistors to lower the input impedence. But if I were you I'd just try it as designed and see how it works/sounds. From what I understand lots of buffered pedals use 1M resistors and work fine with active basses.
