thanks for the suggestion, i'm new to effect pedals what exactly does overdrive do? I'm using my fingers by the way.I'd honestly suggest a Microtubes B3K, but keep it with a good blend of clean.

Thanks for the info. I've been looking at a lot of pedals and I think i'm probably gonna go with the microtube b3k.Overdrive is basically a lighter form of distortion. Some pedals are designed to distort based on how hard you hit the strings. While other overdrive pedals just add distortion on every note regardless. Look up "overdrive bass" on youtube and you will quickly figure it out. Overdrive adds more depth to your tone and can make your notes stand out in a mix.
