Double Bass Effects pedals on Double Bass?

Shopping as I type, (Sweetwater) my board will be minimalistic at best tuner, chorus, delay, for sure.. not buying a EUB, wife will kill me..my Roth upright will have to do for now...I picked up two more Behringer BX 1200 ulrabass amps from GC used at a $100 a piece..thought I might try doubling the amps (2x12).stereo..I also have some additional gear to add to the board that is wind related and a mic..so I guess I'll have to go it alone from here.

I am an upright bass player. I use tons of effects. My main board consists of radial bassbone OD 2 channel preamp/di into an ashdown abm 500, into a 2x15 emminence 3015 loaded cab. On the effects loop from the radial di, I run a fulltone full drive 2 ( the comp cut is my upright bass solo go to, and I solo alot!), I also use a ehx boost lpB1, cheap bass chorus, mxr bass envelope filter, ehx b9 organ pedal (it even tracks upright well, higher register solos are amazing), mxr badass overdrive (the 100hz knob is super useful for bass, thicken up as much as you need), cheap.boss tremolo, ehx turnip greens, richtone Analog delay,.and finally a mxr 10 band eq as another booster. I use a fishman full circle pickup. I play in a very loud, bass driven band and I can get huge volume without feedback. Also highly recommend the 3015, used in some great cab designs.

Here's some rig shots. The ashdown is in my living room.

Cannot give you e
Does anybody actually know Eberhard Weber signal chain and the brands he used. I cannot find any info on that...
thanks
I do not have any details, but once I have visited a solo concert by him and as far as I remember he had two multi effects using modulation and/or chorus and an additional reverb unit. But that was decades ago.
In a interview I once read he said that he only uses effects like modulation (which is a slow vibrato), chorus (maybe flanger) and reverb because the double bass source would be still identifiable with these kinds of effects but not with more drastic effects like overdrive distortion etc.
The multi effects might have been a Yamaha SPX type, probably a three or four digit model. But I'm not completely sure about that.

Anyway, the model is not important since the sound depends more on parameters than the effect unit model.

He uses delay and a freeze function too. For that you might want to get a looper that was realized with a long delay time and full feedback and freeze at that time. I think a Roland delay was popular at that time, but nowadays there are better solutions and longer delay/loops available.

Also setting the loop begin and end with a foot switch is important with longer delay lines since you cannot fit a played phrase of several bars in a given delay time. With shorter loop times you can play a single note to repeat and try to find the tempo to fill the time with a phrase but the longer the loop time the less exact gets the players ability to fit in the phrase in time.

For the two effect units it is possible that both use modulation at the same time but with slightly different modulation frequencies.
