EH bassballs

alrighty..ive decided that i want a bass balls after being horribly dissapointed with the digitech, and the EH is slightly cheaper, but im curious with the distorion switch....does it add distortion to the evelope or does it switch it from being an envelope filter to a distortion box, and how heavy is the distortion level? im just looking for something a little chunky distortion wise

it adds distortion to the bassballs effect. I had a bassballs for a while, cool effect but I didn't use it much so I sold it. When I had it, I rarely used it without the distortion on.
