So this is a recording of my band done live, in a big venue where we had no control whatsoever over the sound. We were part of a slate of bands and we just went right on, no sound check, nothing. This was the last tune we did, so by then they had gotten the sound kind of under control
The Erhlund went straight into a DI and then to the house, and the recording is just the Ehrlund. I have no idea what kind of post processing was applied--clearly they slathered it with reverb. My bass has a big resonant peak at right around 100 hz, the second "G", and I think they eq'ed that out, and used a hi-pass filter. I think they put a good deal of compression on the bass, but it still seems to me to be a good representation of what's good about the ehrlund. It has some of the directness of a piezo but little or no quack.

It was one of those gigs where we thought we sounded awful because we couldn't hear each other--I was having to find the beat by watching the guitar player's right arm, that kind of thing
