EHX Deluxe Bass Big Muff Pi broken or?

Hey,

I just purchased the EHX Deluxe Bass Big Muff Pi, i was so stoked when i it finally came in.
However my joy soon turned into irritation when i couldn't get the pedal to make a fuzz sound, or any other effect that the pedal should make.

I have it plugged in, and the leds work.
The bypass switch is working aswell, there is just no sound change when i turn the nobs.

Is my pedal broken and do i need to send it back, or is there something else i can do to fix this? My other pedals do work btw, im using the EHX Deluxe Bass Big Muff Pi seperated from my pedal board atm.

Just because someone will ask eventually, you are going out of the "output" and not the "direct out" I assume?

do you have your bass volume all the way up? you very likely need more input level in order to saturate more your sound
