Personally I don't think any version of the HM-2 sounds good with all that weedly weedly chops intensive stuff on bass, I wish he would have played some doom or just simpler stuff in general so you could hear the tone of the pedal a little better. I'm a huge fan of the HM-2 but I can't say I've been impressed with anything I've heard from the Hell Melter.

Another HM-2 fan here. I have seen one guitar demo where the Hell Melter sounded like a chainsaw, but the sound quality was not that good so it was hard to tell how good of a chainsaw it was. On the Navarro demo I do not hear the HM-2 'magic' at all, but that might have to do with the weedly weedly playing :).

Just the idea of the hm2 with a blend is becoming more attractive. however, finding one to demo might be a challenge

I do not expect much of a clean blend if the clean has the full frequency spectrum. That doesn't sound very good IMO. I DO like the sweepable mids!

Still waiting for the Andy Westwood demo haha!!
