EHX Hell Melter

I'm so over HM-2's on bass. None of them sound good and are inaudible in a mix anyway, even with a blend.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't think that thing sounds good at all. Might be different in real life.

Looks like they dropped in some pretty useful mods over the stock HM-2, though!

i don't know I feel like every EHX dirt pedal that's come out in the last ~15 years (except for maybe some of the muff variants) has this weird fizzy, artificial, choked out sound to it.

Personally I don't think any version of the HM-2 sounds good with all that weedly weedly chops intensive stuff on bass, I wish he would have played some doom or just simpler stuff in general so you could hear the tone of the pedal a little better. I'm a huge fan of the HM-2 but I can't say I've been impressed with anything I've heard from the Hell Melter.

Another HM-2 fan here. I have seen one guitar demo where the Hell Melter sounded like a chainsaw, but the sound quality was not that good so it was hard to tell how good of a chainsaw it was. On the Navarro demo I do not hear the HM-2 'magic' at all, but that might have to do with the weedly weedly playing .

I do not expect much of a clean blend if the clean has the full frequency spectrum. That doesn't sound very good IMO. I DO like the sweepable mids!
