"electronic" question ??

not sure where to post this . . . but it's a question about a speaker and ohms . . . .

A local ad shows a vintage "8 ohm" speaker (No Finer Speaker Made in all the World) and a reading on a meter at 5.8 ohms. What does 5.8 indicate about this "8.0" speaker? (is this normal or to be expected? or does it show something else?)

Resistance and impedance are not the same thing. You're reading straight DC resistance, impedance include capacitance and inductance in addition to resistance.
