Electronics Experts: Is This True?

I once had a 110-volt air conditioner that was on its last legs, and every time the compressor would try to come on it would trip the circuit breaker.

Just for kicks, I installed a parallel-choke type power conditioner in the outlet adjacent to the one the air conditioner was plugged in to. With the power conditioner in parallel, the circuit breaker would not trip and the air conditioner functioned normally. If I removed the power conditioner, the circuit breaker would trip the next time the compressor tried to cycle on. I suppose the conditioner's effect could be likened to an electronic fly-wheel.

Anyway, I'd say that not all power conditioners have a detrimental effect on a high-current-draw device.
 
I use one , mine is floor model that can hold 2kw( I use on a svt 4) and can be used on engines so it does not choke, but it mantains the current stable, I check it with voltmeter, while my house current was always going up and down when I used this conditioner it remained the same, so maybe the prob is not the conditioner but using one that is not proper to high current pulls
