Elixir on Fretless

Thinking of switching back to round wound on my fretless for a bit more bite or rawness soundwise.

Anyone tried using Elixir Nanoweb on a fretless, would it be a good compromise between fretboard wear and bite?

I have them on all my fretted and fretless basses except one.Great tone and easy on the board and fingers.The coating will slow down the wear on the fingerboard,but it won't eliminate it.

I have them on mine as well. I don't play it that often, but I do like the tone and wouldn't use anything else.

I have them on my fretless. I didn't select them due to board wear........ I don't use the fretless as much and I can go FOREVER without changing them.

Funny, I was sitting here noodling on my fretless 5 Warwick(N/T), strung with Nano med's when I read your post. LOVE 'EM, can't imagine anything else. Great tone, great feel, they last a long time... For electric playing I'm playing almost exclusively fretless now and there's very minimal signs of fingerboard wear (ebony f/b).
