I'm a sucker for an elrick.

Likewise. I spoke briefly with Rob about a custom six string a couple years ago, and he was incredibly helpful, professional, thorough, really gave me the warm&fuzzies about doing business...he made me want to give him my money! It didn't hurt that his quote was significantly lower than the equivalent Fodera, F Bass, or Pedulla that I had looked into at the same time. Great guy, great instruments.

I wound up getting a used Modulus 6 to fill the need that I was looking at the Elrick for...but I may still pursue an Elrick in the future, just 'cuz they're such nice instruments. And you can never have too many basses... :)

Obviously a custom case is involved, too? That is one giant headstock!

move been dealing with Rob since 2008 when I ordered my first custom from him. He also introduced me to Larry from Aero pickups. My bass life hasn't been the same since!!

No custom case, but he did source me quite the deluxe gig bag since that headstock is just a tad prohibitive. The guy really did go above and beyond.

Nice! Hopefully the body isn't one of his crazy light ones with all of those tuners to counterbalance.
Oh, it'll be light and I wouldn't doubt if it did have a tad bit of neck dive, but he did all the specs that I wanted and I'll be fine with it.

I can't get over how great Rob was to deal with. I've been fortunate to deal with some really great builders and Rob takes the cake. I already want to give more business to him and will do so. Need an excuse to spec and order another bass now. haha

Cool, because I haven't found a bag that even comes close to Gator's PRO-GO model...built like a tank!
I gotta admit, those are great. Bass Mods sent me one and I love it. I am partial to Gruv Gear and Mono cases, though. The new Gruv Gear Kapsule is ridiculous.

Awesome bass. I notice that you live in Fallbrook. No doubt your Blues band will be gigging often in the San Diego area. That instrument would drive the Blues crowds crazy. Lol.

I've been an Elrick owner since 2003. Played it at numerous Blues gigs through the years since. The only people to ever comment about it were nice ladies who obviously had consumed a bit too much alcohol. "Oh, what pretty wood that is." Which is why I kid about your bass and the Blues.

This baby will stay firmly in my studio. Won't be coming out for the 'blues' gigs. lol

Just checked the Kapsule out...holy cow is that nice. Just a bit more than Gator, though. :p
I'd had the Kapsule on order since the IndieGoGo in April. It just arrived last week and it's more awesome than I'd anticipated. Such a well put-together solution.
