He's actually playing a Lakland
When you close the case (above pic), ALL those basses fit inside?
Amazing!![]()

I am always tickled when people post a link to wikipedia like its the Gospel.Anyone can post or edit wiki, that's why it's a joke.
Elvis didn't start Rock and Roll, but is largely responsible for Rock and Roll as we know it.
That's kinda like saying Leo didn't invent the electric bass, but invented the electric bass as we know it.
Not only that, but Elvis was a big proponent in electric bass being used. There's several pics (and a movie) with him handling a Fender. He's the one that got the P for Bill Black.
And I am always tickled when people blindly bash Wikipedia like it's 4chanhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reliability_of_Wikipedia
Don't recall where I heard it but one of the urban legends about Elvis and bass was that while recording an album, during a break, he picked up his bassist's bass and started messing around and someone looked him dead in the eye and said "You can't play that thing. You ain't black enough."
Who knows if it's true or not, but I love that one.
he's responsible for white people getting into it. he definitely is not responsible for rock and roll as we know it. great singer, but not exactly the guy who started it or defined it.Elvis didn't start Rock and Roll, but is largely responsible for Rock and Roll as we know it.
Exactly. Elvis was an awesome performer, but he didn't start or invent any music.he's responsible for white people getting into it. he definitely is not responsible for rock and roll as we know it. great singer, but not exactly the guy who started it or defined it.
Man! How cool do you have to be to rock lavender pants with a yellow waist-coat? (...and Beatle boots!)
