elvis' first record was rock n roll. then he made a a bunch of crappy movies. then he went to vegas and got fat. i just dont get why people love him so much. king of entertainment, sure, but rock n roll NO.

my vote for king of rock n roll is chuck berry.
and little richard is the queen :D

I actually had this discussion with my dad one time. He didn't invent the music, but he was the first white guy to do it. I think we as musicians must give him credit for opening that door, but in all reality, the guy did nothing that wasn't already being done by guys like Chuck Berry, he was just given the recognition because his skin's a little lighter.
