i'm thinking of upgrading my old pickups, to emg 40tw's. has anybody got some feed back on them. thanks

emg 40tw's

Try a search for TB posts and internet reviews on them. Haven't had them but there's been a number of posts and guys seem to prefer them over the DC's at the least. Had the DC's and to me they were okay but nothing I'd keep. The J/split P active EMG setup is a pretty solid combo.
I put a pair into my old Acacia fretless 4-string and I think they sound very fine indeed. The difference between the two modes is subtle.
What sort of pickups will they replace?
