EMG Active Pickups on Yamaha ERB070(P-Bass clone)

Guys,

This is my first post in here. Im new to modding basses. I have a Yamaha ERB070 4 String bass which is very similar to a P-Bass. I did not like the stock pickups and went for an EMG PA-V2 Solderless Active pickup. My bass has one master volume knob and a tone knob. The installation diagrams i got from the website do not show the wiring diagram for bass with 2 pickups, one volume, one tone. I am confused and feeling that i have wasted my money.

I did see a post where in one of the members had installed an active pickup system on a pbass with one volume and one tone knob.

It would be helpful if any one could post the wiring diagram so I could install this pickup.

Appreciate your help

Thnx,
Shiv

You bass only have one pickup as far as I can see.

The P pickup is divided into two units, but the two units are still just one pickup.

Look at diagram 3. (Page 2).

That is for one volume and one tone knob. The diagram is a little bit misleading as the pickup connectors shown in the diagram (to the left) are 3 pin connectors. In your case this is a 5 pin connector (Two of the pins are for the cable of the second coil as seen in Diagram 1). Otherwise the diagram should be correct.
