EMG-MMCS replacement question

ok so i am new here but i have been looking at the threads here for two years. everything i know about bass has pretty much come from the knowledge shared on this site. ok so here i go, i have a MM with the three band eq, i am looking to replace the stock pick-up with a EMG-MMCS, but here are my questions

1. is the pickup any good?

2. what happens to the three band eq in the MM because on the emg site it says the EMG-MMCS only comes with only a tone and volume control

3. would it be a big difference (between the stock and emg pickups)

4.has anyone tried it?

lastly, so here is option b, i have a new fender standard p (mexican) which for some reason has way deeper mids than my MM can ever put out. Now my question is would it be better to replace the stock pickups on the p bass with active emg's? i mean would i get a bigger difference from a emg replacement on a mexican fender or the MM?

sorry but i have been searching high and low for my tone and it just seems to be one thing after the other hahaha :rollno:
