EMG PJ vs PJX set

I have the EMG PJ set currently in my bass, and was considering going to the PJX set. Some of the marketing hype touts "PJX set provides increased headroom giving the voicing an organic and open tone blah blah blah...."
Has anybody had any experience with these? And further, has anyone A/B'ed these sets? If so, please share your thoughts.

The pjx has a bit more attack and seem a bit less sterile as opposed to the standard. Highs are smnoother and the bass seems a little more prevolent and slightly deeper. Just my observations from using more than a few of these sets since they came out. I still use the standard PJ on my fretless, but would prefer the PJX for fretted especially playing hard rock or Jazz.
