EMG PJAX set or EMG Victor Wooten set

Has anybody had the chance to compare both of these sets ? I am not sure which set would suit me best. I am interested in the pros and cons.

The PJAX set match looks wise and you can get the bridge pup up close to the strings like the older EMGs without the string pull.

The VW set bridge pup should be a little more aggressive and maybe closer to a single coil jazz sound.

The only sound clip of either I can find is Victor dazzling me with his brilliance.

The bass I want to put them in is a 80's Schecter PJ with ash body and rosewood on maple neck if that makes any difference.

Ok.. So I ended up getting both of these sets to try.. The bass I have tried these in is a 80's Schecter with ash body and rosewood board. The J is in the 70s position and the P the normal P position. I am just using the standard wiring kit.. I have been alternating the JVX and the JAX quite a bit and here are my thoughts. Basically, if you like a PJ for the P and want to dial in a little J to give it more top end then you will most likely favour the JAX. The JAX has more highs and less meat to it, so it plays nicer with the P. You can get a P sound and by adding some J get some more top end without changing the overall tone too much. If you are like me, a PJ guy who favours the J more than the P and plays finger style over the J then you are going to be much happier with the JVX. It has more volume to muscle with play with the P. Having said that, I don't like it as much when I favour the P. The JVX doesn't add the top end sparkle of the JAX and tend to just add some more low mids that makes it a little more muddy. This is with fingerstyle. Using a pick and slapping (both of which I don't do much of) can be fine with either. Hope this helps someone make a choice !
