EMG tone control replacement

I have a bass with an EMG system that is volume, balance, stacked bass and treble, and stacked mid level/frequency. I'd like to change the two stacks to just single knobs, bass and treble.

Can I just unplug some of the connections, get new bass and treble pots from EMG to swap that out and leave my existing volume and blend pots?

I figured I just need to unplug the stuff I have arrows pointing to and pop the new bass and treble knobs in. Am I right or is there a different approach I'd need to take?

That will work. The actual controls work with either passive or active pickups. As long as you use your existing volume and blend controls, the BTS will be happy.
