EMGs with Bartolini preamp

Would a pair of active P/J EMG pickups work with a bartolini preamp?

I really have no idea

I have this setup and it's fine. Works very well. Bart pres work with a wide variety of pickups and I've never run into a problem with them. I definitely prefer this combination to the opposite.

Use a 25k pot for volume. Ive done it. Actually the other way around tho'. Sounded good on a MIM jazz. The emg preamps are subdued, so its not extreme sounding.

In your case Im sure it would work and sound okay. If you feel its "sterile" you could use a JV in the bridge position.

Would I need to use a 25k pot for the Bart preamp?

Use the pots that come with your preamp. which i believe will be 50k pots for your EQ.

If you use blend pot you may want to use either 25k or 50k depend what you want, but the volume pot definite use 25k to suit the EMG pickup.

EMG + Bart pre is great, i use it on my warwick corvette.
