Hi guys just joined up good site for info... luv`it.
Well i just finished putting my cabs together with Legend BP102.
2 4x10 REAR ported cabs modeled loosely on the Fender pro cabs for size loaded with BP102` 8 in total. Now ive been reading some of the comments around this site about these BP102` & dont agree. People saying that they need this & that `big cab` `midrange speaker` & tweeters`............. all crap if you ask me, they are solid preformers.... professional speakers.
The thing i can hear is that they produce MASSIVE amounts of bottom-end.Easily as much as a 15` no worries if not more. These babies put my 15` cab in the ground. Big Bottom !!
Now this is what made my go for these , they can go VERY LOW,if you have a port on the cab it will bring out the bottom end lots & ive only just started to run them in, 3hours playing time so far.
Having a parametric eq helps because they do have a scoop at around 500-600 hz.Ive been putting my amps parametric on about 550 hz & giving them a boost & man they growl !! It took the store around 7 months to get them but it was worth it.
You cant put BP102` in a little crappy cab. They need a strong cab thats not too SMALL or BIG.I modeled my cabs after the Fender Pro cabs.
NO WINISD USED !!
They also dont need thousands of watts to pump.I use`em with a Fender TB-600 head & they have that much power that i drown the rest of the band i have to turn down .Who wants or needs high-end arent we bass players just a little is fine.Turn your treble up a little if needed. They have mids a little less highs but BIG lows (WoW).I also used a Fender BXR 200watt head which powers these babes with ease but need just a little more power than the average speaker, if you pump the power into them they just Growl even harder. Ohh Eminence did say the LEGEND BP102 would be great for me after i told them the dimensions & size the cabs would be. Use your ears to make the judgement its the best way.Dont listen to people that dont own or ever tried them... how would they know how its gonna sound.A cabinet design programme cant give you sound samples.
LEGEND BP102 ARE THE BEST !!!
