Thought I’d take a shot and post this here as at least most musicians I’ve known have had to do some kind of hands on job...

I have a busy custom AV installation company serving the ultra high end market in the NY metropolitan area. Been in business for 20 years and I’m actively looking for another installer.

I’m willing to train someone but most important the candidate must be mechanically inclined and comfortable with hand and some power tools, have a professional attitude, and know how to act around famous/powerful people.

This is a great opportunity for someone as it is full time work with really good people. Entry level skills would be running wires and mounting TVs, installing speakers etc but knowledge of URC Total Control, Lutron Lighting control and motorized shades, network configuration skills would be a huge plus and greatly affect salary level. Must have clean drivers license.

If you are interested please email me with contact information and resume to [email protected]. For slightly more description see www.EHA-Group.net

Thanks
Rob

That's cool.
I started out in custom audio in NYC back in the mid 80's - before the internet, before IR control and keypad control. Before anyone ever thought speaker wire had to be 14g+. Hell, back then, voice lines were still daisy chained and running Cat3 was "future proofing". I've looked down onto Central Park from 45 stories up and 5th Ave apartments with 15' tall windows - admired the photos on Katharine Hepburn's fireplace mantle - and worked in homes that most people only got a peek at by tuning into Robin Leach on Sunday nights.:jawdrop:
But yeah... what Oddly said - famous/important people can be pretty obnoxious.
Good luck RNG1.
