You don't know what you're talking about. If you have an always on pedal, it acts as a buffer. The benefit of a standalone buffer is to keep your signal from losing brightness with long cable runs. You don't need it if you only use a few pedals, or with buffered pedals, or if you have an active bass, or if your pedal(s) are always on.

In all honesty, I'm not even sure if I need a buffer in my chain, but being able to use the In/Out jacks for quick connecting to my bass and amp, along with the pristine boost, level control and tuner out makes it a worthwhile pedal to have on a board. Having the dual buffers is a bonus!
