Does the Empress para-eq have enough to use as a preamp to bybass a bass amps pre? Didn't know if anyone had tried this yet.

Finally was able to try this out. It seems to have plenty of gain. Nice preamp for upright if you're able to bypass your amp's eq section. I went into the effects return. Really transparent now. I cant afford a new amp and had this laying around.
Yes, it has a boost. But not footswitchable. It's an older model. I am using the gain on the boost because the mic I am currently using is an EV PL95. It's not very hot, but very feedback resistant. Used it with drums Sunday nite with no problems.
