Thanks everyone for the interest!! I already have several PM's asking for the Broughton and am now second guessing myself. Probably going to set up on my basement rig and think a little further about whether I really want to part with either or both. However, for now I will stand by the $365 offer for the set (which I bumped slightly from the original $350). Only a question of whether I will drop the price and/or split them up or just end the sale.

Frankly the extremely useful tone shaping is icing on the cake to the EQ on my basses and amps but, like a compressor, is a very useful long term investment item vs the shiny objects competing for my attention (cool effects that would be fun, especially during quarantine, but would rarely be used except for horsing around).

Within a week I will probably either end the sale or split the pieces and/or drop the price. Not sure which way it will go at this moment.

Hooked them up for the first time in a few years. Definitely getting some sellers remorse without even selling which is better than after. One thing I just noticed is that the Empress EQ adds less noise than use of the D800’s EQ section which is rather surprising since it’s an excellent amp top to bottom. Also the clean boost is a great way to hit the tubes in the Noble a little harder.

Sorry to get into a show and tell. Haven't done that in a long time. Those cabs are HG310's by the way. Same size box as the 210 but sealed and with an extra driver in the back. Each 6 ohm cab has the same cone area as a 212.

Imo, the D-800+ makes most all those sweet pedals redundant.

None are strictly necessary but the amp doesn't have tubes or compression (though I think some of that is included in the gain and voicing dials). Amp has enough EQ and a HPF, but the LPF is a nice to have. I also noticed today that the Empress has a lower noise floor than the EQ section of the D800. Lastly it's handy to be able to HPF and LPF and EQ ahead of the DI for FOH and recording without going through the amp. However, having said all that I can't disagree that everything sitting on top of the amp is a luxury just as five of my six basses and two of my three amps are luxuries.

I have cold feet and am marking sold to take it of the market. Hope that is the right way to do it. Thanks to all who have expressed interest. If I change my mind again I'll try to contact those who PM'd.

I doubt this is against the rules, and I don't think we ever see the stats of what's sold and not sold, but the data appreciator in me still likes to mark it as "no longer available" rather than sold
